HOW TO MAKE REGULAR APPLE MUFFINS
STEP 1: Mix cups of white whole wheat flour with the teaspoons of baking powder in a large bowl then stir it well, also add 1 teaspoon of grounded cinnamon with the teaspoon of salt and continue stirring. Grate a cup full of apple and dice a cup of apple into inch cubes and add these grated and diced apples into the whole mixture and stir vigorously to get an even mixture.
STEP 2: In another bowl mix 2 eggs with a cup of coconut oil or virgin olive oil and stir well. Add a cup of maple syrup or honey (honey is preferable since it’s a healthy sweetener, and requires a quite different method of preparation which I would give you later in this article) with a cup of plain Greek yogurt and a cup of applesauce with a 1 teaspoon vanilla extracts and stir the whole mixture together to make it uniform.
STEP 3: Add the liquid mixture from step 2 into the solid mixture bowl from step 1 and stir vigorously to have a uniform mixture. Try to avoid lumps but a little lump is still acceptable. The mixture is meant to be thick if you followed the measurements and instructions correctly.
STEP 4: A baking pan is now needed. Use a smooth 12 cups baking pan, in case your baking pan is not smooth, just grease it with a little oil or butter to prevent the baked apple muffins from sticking to the pan and for easy removal of the apple muffins. Now divide the thick mixture into the 12 cups. Sprinkle raw sugar as toppings on the 12 cups.
STEP 5: The oven is first preheated to about 200 degrees Celsius before the pans are then put in the ovens for 13-15 minutes, or bake until it turns golden brown and when you dip a toothpick at the center of the muffins down to the bottom and it comes out dry then the muffin can be said to be baked. The pans are then now brought out of the oven and the muffins are placed on a cooling rack.
BAKING APPLE MUFFIN WITH HONEY
